Our mission is to research, study, and preserve local history for our community.

 

We own many historical artifacts and an extensive photographic collection.

 

We present a monthly lecture series free to the public.

 

We help support the historic Babcock-Smith House.

 

BOARD MEETINGS ARE ON HIATUS FOR THE SUMMER AND WILL RESUME IN SEPTEMBER.

 

We invite all members to attend.

The Westerly Historical Society Photo Search and Enlargement Service

 

The Westerly Historical Society has acquired many wonderful photo images over the years.  The society can provide reprints of images and conduct searches under the following circumstances and for the following fees:

 

1. $25 for one half-hour search of requested subject. $45 for one hour search and for each hour thereafter.

2. Search includes up to ten miniature “thumbnail”

      images for requester to inspect.

3. $40 for each 11” X 17” enlargement.

4. $25 for 8” X 10” print.

5. $4 shipping and handling.

6. Purchaser signs acknowledgement that he or she

      will use image for personal use only and not

      resell images.
